Why I Love – Tropic Body Smooth

Me Time.

Something a lot of us parents DON’T have a lot of. And we need to – you can’t pour from an empty cup etc. (You can read why I think Self-Care is important to mums HERE).

Me-Time and self-care isn’t always just about indulgent baths, but for the purposes of this blog, lets pretend it is lol.

If I have a bit of spare time in the evenings when Boe has gone to bed and Mr Plinky is having to do some work, then I’ll run a bath, light some candles and get my tub of Tropic Body Smooth Refreshing Polish out.

I found this was a saviour for my painful legs during a Fibromyalgia flare, and always noticed how soothed my legs were when I woke in the mornings… I’m not sure if it was just the act of massage or it’s ingredients, but it certainly made a difference.

As soon as you open the jar, you’re hit with the gorgeously subtle and invigorating citrus scent – it’s made with essential oils of Lemon Myrtle, Bergamot and Lime and these really give off an amazing fragrance.

To use, you just gently massage onto dry skin (I find sitting on a towel is imperative as some of the salt does drop off as you’re using it) before your shower or bath, focusing on any rough or dry areas. I pay great attention to my legs and arms and really massage it in, as these are the areas which get shown the most, and as I’ve stated above, I was also getting really bad Fibro pain in my legs and the massaging certainly eased some of that discomfort.

Once you’ve massaged the salts over your skin, either rinse off in the shower or hop in the bath for a lovely, relaxing soak. Then simply massage the remaining oils into your skin for sensational softness.

I love the Body Smooth because it really does smell amazing and leaves my skin feeling the smoothest.
It’s hero ingredients are mineral-rich sea salts, which help remove dead skin cells and polish skin to perfection, Golden Jojoba oil which is similar to the skins own natural oil, and macadamia oil both help to deeply hydrate and soften the skin, and Lemon Myrtle which has antibacterial properties that deeply cleanse and purify the skin.

As soon as you step out of the bath or shower you’ll instantly notice how unbelievably smooth your skin is – this really is the perfect skin treat.

The packaging is really cute too – the jar comes in a little bag decorated in tropical leaves and also comes with a bamboo spatula, which when used helps keep your Body Smooth’s shelf life at it’s longest.

Have you tried the Body Smooth Refreshing Polish yet? If so, what did you think?
